Building with Stripe
Stripe is strongest at the cleanest API in payments and strong subscription primitives. We reach for it when that is the property a workload actually depends on, and we say so when it is not.
Stripe's subscription and invoicing primitives are the most complete in the category, which matters for any SaaS product billing internationally. Its documentation quality also reduces integration time in a way that shows up in project schedules.
For Indian domestic collection it is the wrong default. UPI coverage and local method support from a domestic provider will convert better, and many businesses end up running both.
Integration comes before intelligence. A model that cannot reach your systems of record is a demo with good manners. We hand over with runbooks, tests and a team that knows how it works, not a dependency.
