We hold no reseller commission on Google. That is what makes the trade-off line above worth reading. It costs us nothing to tell you when this is the wrong choice.
Building with Firebase
Firebase is strongest at the fastest path to a working mobile backend with offline sync. We reach for it when that is the property a workload actually depends on, and we say so when it is not.
Firebase's offline sync is genuinely excellent and remains the fastest route to a mobile backend that behaves correctly on an unreliable Indian network. For field applications that is often the whole requirement.
Its query model is the limitation. Anything resembling a relational join or ad-hoc analytical query becomes awkward, and costs scale in ways that surprise teams as document counts grow.
Integration comes before intelligence. A model that cannot reach your systems of record is a demo with good manners. We hand over with runbooks, tests and a team that knows how it works, not a dependency.

Questions
What is Firebase best at?
The fastest path to a working mobile backend with offline sync.
When would you not use Firebase?
Query limitations and costs that grow awkwardly as data volume rises. We would look at AWS Bedrock or Azure OpenAI in that situation.
Do you have a commercial relationship with Google?
No. We hold no reseller commission on any technology we recommend, which is what lets the trade-off above be stated plainly.
Can you work with our existing Firebase setup?
Yes. We would rather extend and stabilise something that already works than introduce a parallel system your team has to learn.
Working with Firebase?
Tell us the workload and we will tell you whether this is the right tool for it.
